What we believe about creativity
The desire to create is core to being human, and drives us to improve our lives at all levels. From evolving how we teach our children to building the next technological moonshot, humans around the globe are using their creativity to transform their lives and the lives of others in amazing ways every day. We create by constantly building on the improvements of others, which means improvements continue to happen exponentially faster. How human ingenuity has changed the world in the last 10 years is remarkable, with countless improvements in every facet of our lives from medicine, infrastructure, communications and beyond. But the increasing speed and compounding effects of change has also brought increasing and compounding unintended consequences, including more destruction, inequality and conflict.
Creative capacity is waiting to be unleashed globally
The ability to solve these systemic issues lies beyond the capabilities of any single individual or institution. We need new ways forward to handle the speed and complexity we are experiencing on a global level. Amplifying innate human creativity at scale may be the single most important factor in solving our most pressing problems and harnessing our biggest opportunities.
Our fundamental structures need to shift
We seed change from an ecosystem perspective, because change needs to happen both top down-bottom up and across industries simultaneously. Our focus areas take the same approach, from the single individual to our largest systems. How we work, so that all humans meaningfully contribute to local and global ecosystems and improve their own quality of life. How we learn, so that the full capacities of all humans in all places are brought to bear. How we deploy capital, so we can reshape how we build businesses and the composition of our economies.

We don’t have time to ask which of our global challenges we tackle first and which ones wait. Education, healthcare, business, government, climate change, poverty, hunger and more are all pressing issues impacting billions of lives. That is why we focus on creativity: as a fundamental human capacity, unleashing creativity will unlock latent value, release talent, new solutions and progress in exponential ways across our global ecosystem. Creativity allows humanity to pursue all domains at once, lifting our entire global ecosystem.
